New Clients:
Starting counseling can feel overwhelming, but the process is designed to be simple and supportive. New clients can complete intake paperwork through the secure client portal before their first session.
Existing Clients:
Utilize the client portal to send messages to the office, schedule and manage appointments, make payments, and complete paperwork.
What to expect
Initial sessions focus on understanding goals and concerns
Sessions are typically 53–60 minutes
Counseling is collaborative and individualized
Virtual and in-office options available (if applicable)
Youth
Parents or legal guardians may be asked to provide custody agreements or legal documentation prior to the start of services when applicable.
Children ages 5–12 may benefit from shorter 30-minute sessions based on developmental needs, attention span, and treatment goals.
A parent or guardian is typically required to complete intake paperwork and participate in portions of the treatment process as clinically appropriate.
Counseling for children and adolescents may incorporate age-appropriate approaches such as play, creative activities, skill-building, and interactive interventions.
Confidentiality will be discussed in a developmentally appropriate way, while also balancing parents’ rights to involvement and support in treatment.
